Lauren Beckham's Plan for 2009

Hello everyone! It has been a while since you've last seen me in action and a lot has happend since then. Just to give you an update: I am now married, and gave birth to my beautiful boy in January of this year. My body has taken on a new look due to the stress of pregnancy, conceiving, and breast feeding. I can now say I believe that I am more ready than I ever was before-physically and mentally. My body has reached more of a mature look, something the judges are seeking of each competitor.

This year the NPC introduced a brand new division called bikini. It entails more of a softer physique, the less bulky, more curvy, and sexy looking woman. I see this as an opportunity God has given me, considering where I am at right now in my career. It is giving me the chance to jump right back on stage in the same year of conceiving; which I believe is pretty inspiring for all you mothers out there. In addition, because of the division not being well established the first year of introduction, gives me the privelage of competing at the professional level.

I am very excited but I have yet to set a date. You may ask: Does this mean Lauren Beckham will not be competing in the figure division anymore? Well for now that is the case. A champion mentality is to compete only when they know they're ready enough to win. I am not at the level I once was. As far as bikini, I know that I could take it out if I choose the right competition. I will keep you all posted, in the mean time, happy training!
